This powerful and effective flow fusion class is a hybrid of yoga and core strengthening moves. Our core is our center physically, emotionally, and mentally. Stoking the fire in our belly, creating strong abs and a strong spine is vital to being healthy. Planks and all kinds of ab and spine strengthening moves will stimulate the prana in your navel center. Focus is on deep abdominal work along with upper and lower body strengthening and lengthening. Workshop - Building a Better Handstand

Join Marissa for a strength and core based yoga sequence to help you build your handstands as well as progress your current handstands (or lack their of...) throughout this workshop together. You will have the opportunity to warm up with a hot vinyasa practice and then everyone will move into different modifications for building a handstand. There will be lots of options offered which include prop usage, flexibility options and strength exercises. Tone Your Asana

Tone Your Asana was a huge success last year and we are doing it again - join me for  a heated vigorous powerful and sweaty vinyasa yoga class designed to get every muscle in the body working, sweat dripping and your asana toned.  Yes - you will work, you will laugh and you will have such an amazing Friday night.  Bring your sweatband and possibly a sweat towel (or two) so we can take our time to heat up the body, engage the core and breath with the energy in the room to stay alive and focused through the entire practice.    This practice is open to beginners, but having experience in a heated room is a good idea and the ability to enjoy some extra "non-yogic" music during practice is also recommended, music will include a good combo of dance, electronic and alternative music with lots of remixes. (ear plugs are not necessary)

You’ll flow continuously through strong sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement and work to build strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility. In Sanskrit vinyasa means “to place in a special way,” and that informs the graceful dance that is a well-planned vinyasa sequence. When you hit that sweet spot and the endorphins kick in, a pushup suddenly becomes an exercise in weightlessness—you glide, you float, you sail into a blissful final relaxation. Now you get the hype, right?Level 2, or 2 Diamond, classes are suitable for intermediate students. The muscles, tendons and ligaments may become supple as you work to sweat out toxins. All levels of practitioners are welcome, but those with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory disorders, eating disorders, sleep deprivation, or pregnancy should consult their doctor first about the safety. Please bring a water bottle and a towel.
