Detox and Twist Workshop

Learn how to detox your body, mind and spirit through asana, pranayama, self care and clean eating!

We will focus on the benefits of detox yoga which include: stress reduction, weight loss, improved digestion, increased blood circulation, improved lymphatic function, improved glandular function, increased flexibility and a real sense of freedom within the body. The workshop will begin with a vigorous asana practice full of twists, sweat and breath work. We will then move through a full mind and body detox meditation. At the end of practice, as we move into the educational section, you will get to sample juice from Pure Raw Juice!

Marissa Walch is a fitness enthusiast who not only works in the fitness industry full-time, but it's her every day passion. She hopes to inspire you on your mat in a creative manner where your body gives you the freedom to move, gain flexibility and strength. She is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, also instructing Spin, TRX and Boot Camp classes when she isn't teaching yoga; and over the summer you can find Marissa on the water at Capital SUP Annapolis as their Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Fitness Director. She trained in North Carolina, in her hometown, for her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2011 and completed Charm City Yoga's 500 hour training in 2014 to deepen her practice of yoga, create workshops and to fine tune her personal practice. She has worked in the fitness industry for over ten years and dedicates every minute of her day to share her love for keeping and creating a more healthy you! You will have fun, feel stronger and sweat with each practice.

Full payment is required to reserve a space in workshops. All workshops are non-refundable. Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to workshop start date will be issued store credit. No store credit will be given for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to workshop start date. YogaWorks is not responsible for any costs incurred for travel arrangements or accommodations related to this event.
