About Marissa Walch

Marissa Walch lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland and is a passionate fitness professional dedicating her life to fitness and wellness. She is an avid learner and holds many yoga and fitness certifications including:

  • Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 hour & 300 hour
  • TRX Trainer
  • Mad Dogg Spinning instructor
  • AFAA Group Exercise Instructor
  • AFAA Personal Trainer
  • Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga Instructor
  • World Paddle Association certified
  • First Aid CPR/AED certified

Growing up in North Carolina on Lake Norman, Marissa always loved to be on the water and played on a number of sports teams. When she went to college at University of North Carolina at Wilmington she fell in love with fitness. She started teaching group exercise at her campus recreation center, worked for Surf Camp, and soon after earned her first AFAA certification and RYT 200 hour yoga certification which were the beginning of her professional fitness career.

Now living in Baltimore, Marissa teaches a variety of classes at Yoga Works (previously known as Charm City Yoga), University of Maryland, Baltimore and the Under Armour Performance Center, powered by FX Fitness.  She leads classes such as Spinning, Boot Camp, TRX, Hot Vinyasa Yoga and Spinoga; workshops such as: Detox and Twist and Yoga for Athletes and speciality yoga classes which include: Tone Your Asana and Partner Yoga. Marissa also partners with Pure Raw Juice as their leading fitness influencer in the community for a lot of events; check out her popular "Yoga & Unicorn, Mermaid, Gratitude, Pumpkin & Bowl" events happening at Fed Hill Park and other local venues.

Marissa spends a lot of her summer on the water as the Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Fitness Director at Capital SUP in Annapolis leading classes such as SUP Boot Camp and SUP Yoga - click the "Contact Marissa" section below to schedule a private group on the water or to join a class.
